One month photos

The studio that we used for our maternity photos has a baby program, where you pay a one-time fee of $20, and you get to come in once a month for your baby's first year. There's no sitting fee, and you get a free sheet, and then 10-30% off additional sheets or packages. You're not obligated to buy anything. You can just take your free sheet every month and be done with it. $20 for 12 8X10's ain't bad.

Today, we actually purchased additional sheets. I wasn't super thrilled with the photos. It was a combination of the photographer's lack of creativity and Marius' obsession with having his hands in his face. But hey- my mom won $150 on a lottery scratch off and offered to pay for them, and I got 30% off this month, so it's all good. In the upcoming months, I'll probably just take my free sheet, since I have the capability to take the same kind of photos of Marius for free in the comfort of my own home. I just don't have the ability to take good photos of myself with Marius, or of the 3 of us when Kylief gets home. So I'll use the free sheet every month for a family shot, and maybe purchase an additional pose here or there if there are other family shots I like, or if there's a photo of Marius that I'm absolutely crazy about.

Here are the pictures from today. I decided to leave Marius' hair the way it dried, instead of brushing it down, because it looks cute, and I highly doubt it'll be straight forever. There's no product in it- it just stands up. You can't do that with curly hair. There are two other poses, but they printed them both on one big sheet and put them in a frame. It looks like two 8X10's matted in a frame, but it's one big print, so I couldn't scan 'em.
